User Agreement with Speedy Move

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of junk removal and moving services by Speedy Move. By booking our services, you agree to abide by these terms.

Service Booking & Quotes

  • Customers can request a free quote before booking.
  • Quotes are valid for 7 days unless otherwise specified.
  • A booking is confirmed only after deposit payment.

Payment Terms

  • Full payment is required before or upon service completion.
  • We accept electronic payment such as bank transfer, PayMe, FPS, or other agreed payment methods.
  • Any additional services requested on-site may incur extra charges.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • More than one week notice: No cancellation fee.
  • Less than one week notice: Full payment is required.
  • Rescheduling:
    • Only one-time rescheduling is allowed at no extra cost.
    • The new date must be within 14 days of the original booking and is subject to availability.
    • Any further changes will be treated as a cancellation, and deposit will not be refunded.

Junk Removal & Disposal Policy

  • All items for removal must be presented in photos or videos before the service is confirmed.
  • Any additional items not included in the initial agreement will be subject to extra charges.
  • We do not handle hazardous materials (e.g. chemicals, flammable items, medical waste).
  • Responsible disposal practices will be followed, including recycling and donation where possible.
  • If elevators or stair access is required, customers must arrange access in advance.
  • Any last-minute changes to the list of items or moving requirements may result in additional charges.

Moving Services Policy

  • All items for moving must be presented in photos or videos before the service is confirmed.
  • All items must be properly packed unless packing services are requested.
  • Packing materials and additional protective packaging can be provided at an extra cost.
  • If elevators or stair access is required, customers must arrange access in advance.
  • Any last-minute changes to the list of items or moving requirements may result in additional charges.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers must provide accurate details about the items to be removed or moved.
  • Customers must ensure clear access for the service team and disclose any potential challenges in advance.
  • Customers must disclose whether stairs are involved during the move to the parking area. Failure to disclose this will result in an extra fee of no less than HKD $500 per staircase (3-10 steps).
  • Customers must disclose whether our staff will need to change lifts during the move. Failure to disclose this will result in an extra fee of no less than HKD $500 per lift change.
  • Customers must disclose whether the items can fit in the lift. Failure to disclose this will result in an extra fee of no less than HKD $500 per floor.
  • Customers must inform Speedy Move in advance if furniture disassembly is required. Disassembly services may incur additional charges depending on complexity.
  • Any damage caused by pre-existing conditions, weak structures, or customer negligence is not the responsibility of Speedy Move.
  • Customers are responsible for securing valuable or sensitive items before the move.
  • Depending on the moving situation and the number of moving items, additional charges may apply if the moving conditions are challenging for our staff without prior disclosure.

Liability and Claims

  • Speedy Move takes care in handling items but is not liable for minor scratches or wear from standard moving and disposal processes.
  • Customers must report any damages or missing items immediately after service completion. We will not accept any damage claims once our staff has left the scene.
  • If a claim is accepted, the maximum compensation will be limited to 10% of the paid invoice amount or HKD $2,000, whichever is lower.
  • Below is a claims table for reference only. Speedy Move reserves the right to determine fair compensation.

Delays and Service Limitation

  • Our staff will normally contact the customer 30 minutes before arrival. If you do not receive a call or message, please contact our customer service to check the status of our staff.
  • Speedy Move is not liable for delays due to weather, traffic, building restrictions, or unforeseen circumstances.
  • If a service cannot be completed as scheduled, a new service date will be arranged.

Privacy and Data Protection Policy

  • Customer information provided for bookings will be kept confidential and used only for service-related purposes.

Amendments

  • Speedy Move reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. The latest version will apply to all services.
